Other EVs can charge on Rivian's adventure network
Share
Rivian has fairly quietly rolled out access to its charging network to other electric vehicles. Some time back, when the Joshua Tree charging outpost was opened, Rivian announced that it would be opening up its network to other EVs. The Joshua Tree location was the first location where non-Rivian EVs could juice up.
Now, when you check Rivian's Charger Map, you will see many many more charging locations have been opened up. Check the charging map by clicking here to verify ahead of time that the Rivian location you plan to visit is open to other EVs before you set out.

In this case, we visited the Rivian Adventure Network charging site located in Pooler, GA at the Tanger outlets.
The Rivian network is not the most inexpensive or expansive option available currently. That title still belongs to Tesla with its supercharger network. With support for 800v EVs and speeds up to 300 kW Rivian is a great option.
Their sites are designed for adventure which means almost all of Rivian's sites have at least one pull through charger. In the case of Pooler, GA there is one post that can accommodate a vehicle towing a trailer and its fairly close to major highway for easy access.
