GM Investigating Reports of Super Cruise Disengagement Next to Merging Lanes

Bulletin No.: PIT6431

The following vehicles are part of the investigation:

In some cases, customers have reported that their Super Cruise is dropping out with a
DIC message indicating to take the steering wheel and then will quickly come back and
be available again to initialize.

The location of where this is dropping out is important, as it will be next to a merging lane.
This includes on ramps if customer is in the far right lane or can occur when vehicle is in
the middle lane and the left lane merges into the middle lane.

If your vehicle is displaying this behavior, you should schedule service and report it to your dealer.  Your dealer will verify where the dropout is occurring, and if it is near a merging lane when it occurs.

GM Engineering is currently investigating this issue and is advising customers to continue to drive their vehicles.

Note: This scenario may start to happen at locations where it previously has not occurred
but does now.
