12V battery brackets that may cause damage to the 12V battery
Share
Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2025 R1T and R1S vehicles that may have been built with upper and lower 12V battery brackets that may cause damage to the 12V battery. In these cases, the vehicle will display a "12V Battery Warning" on the instrument cluster or the customer may not be able to power up or drive the vehicle. Rivian will replace the 12V battery and both the upper and lower battery brackets.
Approximate build dates for affected vehicles: August 2024-January 2025. If your vehicle falls within these build dates, Rivian may contact you to replace your 12v battery and its brackets.
The campaign number is RCA-78-25-004-2
In some cases, like if you purchased the vehicle used, you may not receive a call from Rivian. If your vehicle falls within these build dates and you haven't received a call you should reach out to Rivian service to schedule an appointment.Â
Failure of the 12v battery could leave the vehicle "bricked" and require it to be towed to the nearest service center without prior notice.
Note: This campaign supersedes RCA-78-25-004-1. Revision 2 updates the approximate build dates.
Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
