Rivian wheel speed sensors may be damaged due to faulty ting washers

Rivian is launching a customer satisfaction campaign RCA-38-25-002-1 for certain R1T and R1S models from 2023–2025 that were manufactured with a front NVH/ting washer that may damage the nearby wheel speed sensor, putting the car in a reduced performance safe-state mode and causing a fault indicator light to illuminate on the driver's display to remind the driver that their car needs servicing.

Rivian will swap out both of the front NVH/ting washers using upgraded components.  Rivian has initiated this campaign to improve the quality of its vehicle lineup and customer satisfaction.

Affected vehicles were built between June 2023 and August 2024.  If your vehicle is impacted, Rivian will replace both front halfshaft ting washers under warranty.

If your vehicle manufacture date falls within the above range, you should reach out to Rivian service via the Rivian app for the fix.
