Some 2025 Rivian R1S & R1T Vehicles May Need Halfshaft (Axle) Replacement

Rivian Bulletin: RCA-38-25-003-1: Replace Front Halfshafts

Affected Models: 2025 R1S & R1T Manufactured August 2024-January 2025

Part # PT00087074-F

Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2025 R1T and R1S vehicles. These vehicles were built with front halfshafts that were not manufactured properly by the supplier, and could separate at the inner constant velocity joint. If this happens, the vehicle will emit an audible clunking or thumping noise. Additionally, a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display.

If your hearing clunking noises from the front end of your 2025 R1S or R1T vehicle you should schedule service through the Rivian App and mention this bulletin.  Rivian service will investigate to see if this bulletin applies to your vehicle.  If it does, Rivian will replace the affected halfshaft(s) with updated parts listed above.
